AFN attended two different Iftah events in May.

Iftah notes the breaking of the fast in the evening during Ramadan. The first of these events was in the Noor Mosque with police, councillors, the May and members of different faiths.

The other was a special event in the Dougherty Street Chambers which has a strong emphasis on, and is well known for, defending human rights cases. It was organised by the International Centre for Integration and Cohesion (ICIC – https://icic.org.uk/) The event focused on the different human rights instruments and principles available for protecting religious freedom along with explanations about a number of legal cases that were along these lines.
