The Legal Affairs Committee of the Council of Europe report entitled “The protection of minors against the excesses of sects” is due to be considered for adoption by the full Parliamentary Assembly at the beginning of April. The report is being viewed as a major cause for concern by academics and others concerned with the freedom of religion. Following are some additional statements recently published:
